GENESIS 44:1-2 "And he commanded the steward of his house,
saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in
his sack's mouth. And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his
corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken."
FRAMED AGAIN!
Joseph directed his servant to fill his brother's sacks to capacity and to put their grain
money back in their sacks. Then he gave a strange command; he told his servant to put his own
silver cup in Benjamin's sack. Now why do you think he did that? The brothers left for home
the following morning totally unaware of what they carried on their donkeys. They had been
framed for the second time! But why did Joseph need to do this? Why couldn't he just
tell them who he was instead of performing this trickery? He then sent his servant
after his brothers and told him to accuse them of the theft. Upon hearing the servant's
accusation, the brothers vehemently denied having taken anything from Joseph's house. So sure
were they of their innocence they vowed, saying that if the cup was found with one of them that
person would die and the rest would become bond servants to Joseph. The servant agreed that
whoever harbored the cup would return to the city with him as an endentured servant.
